The end of the game is hard for some people, and easy for other people. ![]() Note that if you lose units, they are permanently lost, but you can recruit new units on heroic nodes (helmet looking ones) as a saving grace to finish the game. If you clicked save and return to lobby and it didn't properly restore your game, that's a bug and i'll put it on the list for investigating, since this is the first time anyone reported an issue like this. The saving procedure is there to allow you to not have to play the game in one sitting from start to end, since for the first few tries, this might take anywhere from 2-5 hours, depending on the type of player you are. Many people like games like this and it's the game we wanted to make. So, the game is a roguelite, and the experience of losing all units in a fight and having to start over is the intended one. ![]()
